Please join us for the 2nd annual Osgoode Women’s Network “OWN Your Career” Networking Event presented by McCarthy Tétrault. OWN Your Career is a night of networking, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and more.

OWN Your Career allows gives you the  the opportunity to meet women from many different realms of the legal profession. You will get to hear their stories and learn more about the different paths and possibilities available to you after you graduate. The event also features keynote speaker Kirby Chown, who was a highly successful litigation partner at McCarthy Tetrault, and is currently involved with the Justicia Project of the Law Society of Upper Canada, focused on the retention and advancement of women in law.

When: Thursday, February 27 from 7:00-9:00 PM
Where: Rosehill Venue Lounge, 1365 Yonge Street
How: Register February 3rd to February 10th at our OWN table in Gowlings Hall
Cost: $5, all proceeds will support Dress for Success.
Attire: Business Casual

OWN Presents: Dress for Success Clothing Drive

Upcoming Events News!

OWN is teaming up with Dress for Success, a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of women and men in our community.

Dress for Success is designed to help clients find jobs and remain employed. Each Dress for Success client receives one suit when she has a job interview and can return for a second suit or separates when she finds work. OWN will be holding a clothing drive at Osgoode to aid DFS in achieving this goal. We need your help Osgoode!

From the week of February 24 to 28, please bring in items for collection. DFS accepts clean & ready-to-wear, new and gently-used, women’s and men’s professional attire of all sizes including:

• Modern two-piece suits
• Blazers
• Dress pants
• Skirts
• Dresses
• Dress shirts and blouses
• Cardigans
• Purses
• Accessories: Jewelry, belts and ties
• Professional outerwear: coats, scarves, and gloves
• Dress shoes & boots
• New (unopened) toiletries, hygiene & grooming products
• New (unopened) hosiery & undergarments
